Progressive Metal from Jena, Germany
Junksound means progressive metal from the heart of Germany. Based in Jena, Junksound have been making music since 2007 and have developed a distinct sound ranging from powerful hard rock to uncompromising prog-metal - that is hard riffing and catchy melody combined with atmosphere and the occasional progressive extravagance. This adds up to self-aware compositions which have the aim to either avoid or consciously exploit cliché. On stage, Junksound prove that complexity in music is no barrier. With many years of live experience, they manage to project the energy of their music easily onto anyone in the crowd, while there is still something more hidden for the careful listener. Up to now, Junksound have recorded 2 EPs, and tons of material is still in the making.
